Ozgen has performed, taught, choreographed & directed for the last 18 years. His reputation as a male belly dancer & teacher has taken him across the world. In Istanbul, he joined the cast of Night of the Sultans combining contemporary dance, ballet and oriental dance. Ozgen taught for several years at the Tolgahan Dance School in Istanbul, and is now based in London, teaching and performing Turkish Oriental & Romani (Gypsy) dance internationally. He is currently touring throughout the world with his theatre production 'Ask'. We are delighted that he has taken a month off from touring to teach us in Zürich!
TURKISH LYRICAL
Come and learn this amazing dance style called Arabesque and embody the lyrics with your moves. Working with emotion and how to express and combine emotion to movement is an important component in this workshop. Participants will learn how to interpret the lyrics with some challenging bellydance moves and modern dance techniques.
