Performance Project weekend with Rachida Aharrat & Salima

You love oriental dance and you’re curious how you could fuse it in an organic way with other dance styles? Get ready for FlamenContempOriental!

Rachida Aharrat and Salima developed the idea 3 years ago seeking something different. Their common point was oriental dance and each one of them added her specialty: Rachida has a strong background in contemporary dance, Salima in flamenco. So they gave their first course, and it was a big success. The students were amazed by the diverse possibilities it included: passion and power of flamenco, organic fluidity of oriental, the modern dynamics of contemporary dance, and that all this could be compatible in the same choreography. 

Since then FlamenContempOriental has fully booked annual courses in Barcelona and  the dance company "Naarwamaya" has been founded from the best dancers of this project. 

By popular request Rachida and Salima will be back in Zürich, teaching a FlamenContempOriental choreography to be performed in the ZeoT show PARFUM, 20th & 21st June 2020.
