Rachida Aharrat has been working and researching around the body, movement and emotions for more than 20 years. Moroccan-born and raised very young in Barcelona, she has been trained in Theater, Dance, Anatomy, Dance Movement Therapy, Facilitation Somato-Energy and a long etcetera. She has worked as a teacher and as a dancer, created several shows and worked in the artistic and technical direction for several years in two of the most important festivals in the city of Barcelona. In the last few years she has also served as head of studies in a dance school in Barcelona.
CONTEMPORARY ORIENTAL DANCE - YA SIDI
A contemporary expression of oriental dance and a new way of interpreting music.
From different techniques like contemporary, jazz, classical or African dance we can give a new expression to our dance, how we interpret it and how we feel it, without neglecting the essence of oriental dance.
Join Rachida and learn her choreography to the beautiful and moving song, Ya Sidi. It’s a song that talks about the pain of humiliation and how she will never forgive him for humiliating her. The choreography is based on pain, anger, grief, but also on the strength and dignity found through overcoming a downfall.
It’s a group work, with space for improvisation as well as a choreographed part and another that focuses on stage presence. To be performed at the ZeoT show on June 22nd 2019.

**Bedingungen für alle Performance Project Workshops:
Die Auftrittsprojekte werden an der ZeoT Show am Samstagabend 22. Juni 2019 in der Aula Rämibühl präsentiert.
Es ist nur möglich an einem Projekt Workshop teilzunehmen.
Mit Deiner Anmeldung zum gewählten Workshop verpflichtest Du Dich an weiteren Proben teilzunehmen, welche die Lehrerin mit den Teilnehmerinnen direkt vereinbaren wird. Die Teilnehmerinnen müssen die Choreografie auch selbstständig zu Hause repetieren und gewillt sein, ein Bühnenoutfit und allfällige Accessoires (je nach Projekt Workshop) anzuschaffen. Bühnenoutfit und Accessoires werden von der jeweiligen Lehrerin vorgegeben.
Des weiteren ist die Teilnahme an der Vor-Hauptprobe am Samstag 15. Juni 2019 im ZeoT Zürich obligatorisch (jedoch kein Ausschlusskriterium, falls jemand aus wichtigen Gründen verhindert ist). Die Teilnahme an der Hauptprobe in der Aula Rämibühl am Showtag 22. Juni 2019 ist zwingend. Alle Proben und Hauptproben sind gratis.
