Almost 2 years ago, I took over ZeoT Zürich. I thought I was taking over a dance school but I've realised that ZeoT is much more than that!
More than just a dance school, ZeoT Zürich is its teachers, who we've been celebrating recently in our 'spotlight on a teacher' blog series. Having a diverse team of talented teachers gives students the opportunity to find the style of dance and teacher that suits them. I am incredibly grateful for the support and creative inputs from our wonderful team!
More than just a dance school, ZeoT Zürich is its events and social life. In the last two years we've had 2 successful shows featuring many student groups, directed the World Dance Festival in the Europaallee, had 3 wonderful photo exhibitions, several Haflas in the studio and been asked to perform in prestigious locations such as the Dolder Hotel or the Museum Bellerive Zürich. Don't miss our next event, a Palestinian music concert in the studio on Saturday November 19th.
Most importantly, more than just a dance school, ZeoT Zürich is a community. Thank you to all our students for your enthusiasm dancing in class, for taking part in shows and Haflas, 'liking' and sharing posts on Facebook and Instagram and for recommending us to friends and family, bringing new faces to dance in classes and workshops. PALESTINIAN MUSIC CONCERT WITH MEZZE
Join Adel Salameh (oud), Salah Eddin Maraqa (Qanoun) & Raphael Duss (Nay) for an evening of Palestinian music. Traditional and original compositions will be performed by the trio in the studios of Zentrum für orientalische Tanzkunst (ZeoT) followed by a delicious plate of vegetarian mezze from Aubergine Catering GmbH.

ZEOT SHOW 30 APRIL 2017
Would you like to perform in the next ZeoT show on 30th April 2017? If you haven't already done so, talk to your teacher about the possibility of performing one of the ZeoT choreographies you have learnt in class in a group.
OZGEN IN ZEOT ZÜRICH APRIL 2017
OZGEN will be returning to ZeoT for the whole month of April and will also be teaching a group choreography to be performed at the ZeoT show (to be learnt over 3 weekends). As well as a regular bi-weekly Romani dance technique class, he will give weekend workshops including Turkish oriental waltz, arabesque lyrical style and Turkish Flamenco fusion (with fan & skirt). If you missed him last time make sure you reserve the month of April in your dance calendar! Watch this space for more details soon.

A subject close to our hearts as belly dancers….our bras! Whether a good sports bra for training or a glitzy sequinned bra as part of a costume for performing, bras are important to us! But did you know that women only wear around 30% of the bras that they own!
Introducing a great idea for the 70% of bras that you own and never wear! Recycle them into bags, for example purses, make-up bags or even a bag for your cymbals!
