If you want to improve your dance technique make sure to take regular classes and with a variety of teachers. Getting additional information and other perspectives can really speed up the learning process plus it’s fun to try out new styles.
In November and December you’ll have plenty of opportunity to experiment at ZeoT Zürich. Ozgen, Amanda Pittoreska and Kaeshi Chai will be giving workshops that are not to be missed! Why not try Rumba Oriental, Tribal Fusion Datura style or learn a lyrical oriental choreography? More details below.
We’re also very excited to announce the theme and title of the ZeoT Zürich show 2020: PARFUM. The fascinating connection between smell and memory will be brought to the stage through dance. What’s your favourite smell? Where does it transport you? What hidden memories does it trigger? Take part in the ZeoT Zürich show 2020 and create a fragrant blend made visible through movement, form and time. Using oriental dance technique in new and unexpected ways, share the excitement of creating, rehearsing and performing together. PARFUM will be presented on the 20th & 21st June 2020 in Aula Rämibühl Zürich.

The dance format of pioneer Rachel Brice comprises efficient methods for technique training on the one hand and a characteristic vocabulary on the other. The latter can be incorporated into group improvisations or choreographies, analogous to the American Tribal Style (ATS®). We will use some characteristic combos from the Datura Style™ and study a whole choreography. The tools used can also help you to create your next performance in no time from short movement ideas and sequences.
