Watching a performance to a drum solo can be truly hypnotising! The dancer imitates and follows the music so closely as to almost become one with the beat. Pops, locks and shimmies reflect the rhythms and the dancer needs to have great control of her technique in order to achieve sharp movements. It’s not only very energetic but also playful too. Join us in KP3 where we’ll be focusing on the ‘dums’ and ‘taks’ of the drum solo!

We’re excited that ZeoT Zürich is again one of the locations for the Zürich Tanzt festival. In addition to crash courses, we’ll also be hosting a Hafla with performances on Saturday 4th May in ZeoT Zürich studios plus dancing in “So tanzt die Welt” at Zürich Hauptbahnhof.  Read our newsletter for more details plus find out about the workshops and events we have planned for the next few months.

Dancing with accessories can add another dimension to your dance. Props can add excitement and drama to belly dance performances, as long as you know your prop like the back of your hand, so practice often! Join us in KP2 and learn how to dance with veil, stick or cymbals.

Take your dance to the next level by learning to dance to live music with Guy Schalom’s Real Music Academy starting this March at ZeoT Zürich or join Rachida Aharrat’s performance project and step into the limelight in the ZeoT Showcase at theatre Aula Rämibühl on the 22nd June 2019.
